Lemon Balm, Melissa officinalis, belongs to the mint family.

It is a considered a calming herb.

Although originally native to Europe, this herb grows successfully in many areas in the world.

The leaves of this herb are deeply wrinkled and their color ranges between dark green to yellowish green depending on their location. It is known that if a person rubs his/her fingers on the leaves they will smell sweet.
